Our Vision:
We are trying to create accessibility to undertaught subjects, emphasizing thinking with a philosophical focus. We are concentrating on youth, especially middle school students, because we believe that it is a crucial age when we can spark creative thinking in students as they embark on the journey of human understanding: who are we and why are we here?
How Can You Help?
You can actually help in an infinite number of ways; it all depends on what you can and want to do!
- An easy way to start is to promote our program and its existing classes to your local community. Local middle schools and community centers are a great place to begin. We can provide posters and other materials for that!
- If you’re feeling up for it, you can design your own course materials and teach them! Just let us know so that we can help and publicize.
- In the past, we’ve taught both week-long classes and weekly classes on topics like ancient Greek language, ancient Greek philosophy, and introductory philosophy (keep in mind, your classes don’t have to be limited to philosophy; we are just trying to promote deep thinking!)
- We are also scheduling one-day weekend seminars on specialty topics such as Platonic philosophy!
- You will have access to our library of course materials and syllabi!
- Alternatively, you could create your own courses for other chapters to teach!
- It will always be useful to get more people involved and it would be really great to find more people willing to start their own chapters!
